Dr. Mezitis received both his BS degrees in Biology and History and his PhD in Neuropathology from the University of Pennsylvania. His PhD thesis in Neuropathology is on groundbreaking research in organelle-specific proteins of the Golgi apparatus of the cell. He has performed significant diabetes research on new diabetes medications in office protocols and thyroid cancer research at Memorial Sloan Cancer Center in New York City.

Dr. Mezitis spends extensive time with each patient, performing thorough examinations and discussing detailed medical history before ordering comprehensive tests and delivering detailed treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. He has also thoroughly researched combination therapies for diabetes and thyroid disorders, recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the American Thyroid Association (ATA), respectively, as well as the Endocrine Society.
Dr. Mezitis’ extensive and continued research is all performed with the goal of bringing the best possible treatments to his patients. He believes in a customized health management plan and whole-body approach, combining the latest in medical advancements with proven nutritional wellness and lifestyle education. Dr. Mezitis spends a full hour with each new patient, developing the most thorough and personalized treatment plans, and thirty minutes for each follow-up visit, ensuring his patients’ complete health and wellness.
